Steps to Set Up Your Own Website - Web Hosting
1. Pay for Web Hosting:
a. If you have GCI Internet service at home, you are given a free website hosting as part of the service. If you are not going to use that for personal use, you might use it for you school site. ADVANTAGE - It will be easy to change and add to when it is convenient for you:)

2. Cheap Web Hosting:
a. There are lots of choices for Web Hostiing. Here are a few that were recommended at AkLA this year: Fantastico or Blue Host.

(They used Dreamweaver or Front Page (Sharepoint) to create.
You can download and tailor to create your own website.

a. This package lets you make web pages, movies, and blogs. Cost is $79 for one computer and $99 for up to five. Note: You need a .Mac account set up first.
b. .Mac account costs $99.95 per year to maintain. If you create an I-Web page you will need to maintain the yearly fee to keep your site active.
